This week, I had the pleasure of attending the 165th Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, a true highlight of the summer.
Representing Little Beau Sheep at the British Wool stand alongside Floks, Charl Knitwear and Glencroft to name a few, I was thrilled to showcase the incredible versatility of wool.
Each day, I had the honor of featuring some of our woolen clothing in the Farm to Fashion show on the shearing stage. This show, which celebrates the wool journey from farm to catwalk, was a perfect platform to highlight the creative excellence of Yorkshire designers and the sustainability of British wool.
Hosted by radio presenter Nick Hancock, the fashion show featured a mix of professional models and amateur models from the farming community, bringing a unique charm to the catwalk. Designers such as Isabelle Randall, and Jaki Bogg of HotButter Yarns displayed their stunning collections, reflecting the importance of British wool in fashion.
One of the most exciting moments for me was trying my hand at shearing a sheep—a thrilling experience for someone with a finance background rather than a farming one! The shearing stage was bustling with activity, and it was fantastic to see so many people interested in this essential aspect of wool production.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited our stand and watched the shows. Your support means the world to me, and it was wonderful to connect with both old friends and new faces.
