How to make the Spring Cleaning of your home Easier

How to make the Spring Cleaning of your home EasierHow to make the Spring Cleaning of your home Easier

At this time of year we start to become hopeful of the first signs that spring is on its way. The early flowers begin to push their way up through the thawing earth, the days slowly begin to get longer and farmers eagerly await the birth of their new baby lambs.

With these new beginnings comes a sense of optimism and heralds, for many, the start of the post winter clear out. So with this in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to look at some of the key areas you might want to focus on around the home and offer some suggestions to make this process both more fun and more productive.

Here are some of my ideas to help you with that famous of terms, the big Spring Clean!

Sorting out the Laundry

How to make the Spring Cleaning of your home Easier - Little Beau Sheep Laundry ProductsThis can seem for many like an never ending task! As well as the day to day laundry, there is the bedding, curtains, the pets paraphernalia and maybe even a sheepskin rug! Oh, did I say I did once did that?

But that’s a whole other story…

You can certainly help your laundry along by adding some wool dryer balls to help soften clothes naturally and increase fluffiness as the dryer tumbles. This then eliminaties the need for fabric softeners or dryer sheets. They are also much quieter and more environmentally friendly than the plastic alternatives. Just pop all three balls into the dryer for a small load of laundry. Or for larger, more heavy duty loads I’d recommend six or more.

You can find out more about the invention of the dryer balls and more tips on how to hack your drying time over in my Little Beau Sheep Blog.

De-cluttering the home

There is a certain sense of well being about being in control of your surroundings, and by that I mean the mess! Small children, pets and even the grown ups all play their part in contributing to, shall we say, a not so organised environment in which to live.

If like me, however, you may need a bit of encouragement and inspiration, worry not. Little Beau Sheep met up with home organising guru Kate Ibbotson from A Tidy Mind for some top tips on discovering how less can mean more – especially in that all-important wardrobe zone…

Battling those cleaning tasks

Make the Spring Cleaning of your home Easier with orange scented vinegarVery few people I know relish the task of having to clean their home. That said, there are ways to make it a little bit more of a pleasure and finding the right products can help with this. I would highly recommend orange
scented vinegar as a good place to start!

This cleaner is a natural wonder. With natural orange essence, use it to clean your carpets, windows, worktops, car and even your washing machine. Natural and powerful, it offers an eco-friendly way to get to grips with a whole host of tasks that would otherwise be tackled using a chemical cocktail that’s neither good for you or our planet.

If you need a little more advice, or would like to discover the wonders of this miracle product, visit the Little Beau Sheep website or head straight to my blog where I can tell you 10 things you need to know about the cleaning power of vinegar!

I hope this has given you some good ideas to help lighten the load around the house and given you some ideas on how to make the Spring Cleaning of your home Easier!
