About Little Beau Sheep

Sheep Shelf DisplayLittle Beau Sheep is a Yorkshire business creating British wool products for everyday life.

Based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, we design and make a unique collection of British wool gifts, laundry care, body care and home products inspired by one of Britain’s most remarkable natural materials.

Our Mission

Britain produces millions of kilos of wool every year, yet much of it is worth very little to the farmer. At the same time, synthetic materials made from fossil fuels have become part of everyday life.

We believe British wool deserves a greater place in modern homes. From British wool dryer balls and felted soaps to wool care and lanolin body care, every product is designed to showcase the natural benefits of wool while supporting British farming, manufacturing and rural communities.

Why British Wool?

  • Renewable
  • Biodegradable
  • Naturally durable
  • Traceable back to British farms
  • Supports British farming communities

For centuries, wool played an important role in Britain’s economy and way of life. We believe this versatile natural fibre still has an important place in modern homes today.

Little Beau Sheep is proudly based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.

Our British wool products are handmade in Yorkshire using wool certified by British Wool. We work closely with farmers, mills, manufacturers and retailers to create beautifully made products that celebrate the provenance, quality and versatility of British wool.

From Their Sheep to Your Home

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is helping farms and estates tell the story of their wool.

By working directly with farms, we transform their fleece into unique products that celebrate their flock, delight visitors and create additional value from a natural resource that has been part of the landscape for generations.

Whether it’s a felted soap made from a Herdwick flock, a bespoke range inspired by a farm’s own sheep, or an official Shaun the Sheep collection created in partnership with Aardman, every collaboration helps reconnect people with the journey from sheep to finished product and showcases the beauty and versatility of British wool.

Keep an eye out for our farm collaboration products on your travels. Created exclusively for the farms and estates we work with, they’re only available to purchase from the place — and the flock — that inspired them.

Meet Sarah Turner

Sarah Turner Sheep WoolSarah Turner founded Little Beau Sheep in 2015 with a simple question: if Britain produces so much wool, why aren’t we using more of it?

What began with a flock of sheep-shaped wool dryer balls has grown into an award-winning Yorkshire business creating British wool gifts and home products while helping consumers rediscover the beauty and versatility of wool.

Today, Sarah is a TEDx speaker, Great British Entrepreneur Award winner and Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Woolmen. She remains passionate about reconnecting people with British wool and demonstrating how this remarkable natural material can be used in everyday life.

When she’s not talking about wool, you’ll usually find her walking on Ilkley Moor with her dog, at the swimming pool, or dreaming up new ways to help people reconnect with British wool.
