As seen on BBC Countryfile!
It’s happening, the sheep and I are about to make our very first television appearance! We will be appearing on BBC One’s hugely popular Sunday evening show Countryfile at 7 pm on Sunday 16th June. Want some exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures? Well, here they are!
This has probably been one of the biggest Little Beau Sheep moments in history. We’ve had some very exciting times along the way but Countryfile has to be the best yet! I was contacted due to a collaboration that I worked on last year with Nina at Crowkeld Rare Breed Farm in Kildwick. She has the flock of Hebridean sheep, Naomi is a wizz with the blade-shears and I have the needle-felting skills. Together we have created a limited edition set of wool laundry balls using wool from Eric, Ernie, Easter, Eldred, and Elf the sheep. Nina and I both support the Rare Breed Survival Trust (they do an amazing job monitoring, protecting and promoting the unique diversity amongst the UK’s heritage breeds, even saving some from extinction). £5 from each purchase of these Limited-edition-Hebridean-laundry-balls is donated to their breed preservation work.
